Someone said that what's important in life is what road we walk on, not the destination we're going to. Is what we do or what we achieve in life that counts? What do you think?

I think we learn more from the journey than from the destination. The journey teaches us life lessons and also teaches us a lot about ourselves.....how we handle certain situations, how we overcome obstacles, etc. Yes the destination is important, but the learning comes from the journey.

My pastor likes to quote 3 John verse 2 a lot "May you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers."

That word "prosper" refers to having a good journey. It is the steps we take and the roads we travel that determine the destination. If you want to reach the right destination, we have to make the right journey. Since the only things that makes in to "heaven" in the end is people, then the only things that count on the journey is what we make of our own moral and character, and how we help those around us. The rest is worthless.

They are both very important. One must live their lives with honor and decency but achieving the destination is what it's all about. About spending eternity with the maker of our world, Jesus Christ or elsewhere. Hell is the absence of God. When searching for this final destination in mind you will lead your life accordingly.

It's what you do along the way. What if you never reach that destination?
