I used the patches and was successful. The cheaper brand of the patches have the same ingredients as the name band so you can save a few bucks. Good luck!

Well, neither hubby nor I could stop for very long and were kind of desperate. (both smoked 1-1.5 packs a day). Well we were studying the LDS religion with some missionaries and you know how they are against smoking so they suggested that we pray for help. We decided to stay Catholic and not convert to Mormon, so we prayed a Catholic prayer, the "Hail Mary" every time we wanted a cigarette. I stopped May 1981 and Hubby stopped using the same method, Dec 1981... best decision we made to stop... I was getting a lot of bronchitis and other repercussions from smoking - he had only 80 percent lung capacity as a young man... then when tested 10 years after giving up smoking his lung capacity had gone up to 97 percent! I suppose if your spiritual path was something different like Zen you could do a yoga breathing move with a mantra every time you wanted a cigarette - I bet that would work also.

Hi,
I quit this time last year having had a 30 a day habit. I'd tried and failed with allsorts until I a friend recommended this program - see below.
It also came with a 100% money back guarantee and has a 90% success rate - can't say fairer than that!
All the best.

I know that my mother was a smoker for about 20 years and finally quit using a mix of both I believe though I don't actually reccomend that because I'm not sure how good it is for you. Try talking to your doctor about the best combo. Also, this may sound completely silly but what really helped my mom was cutting straws to the length of a ciggarette and then sucking on them when she was having a craving.
Oh and prayer! Ha. Lots of prayer...
Hope everything works out, you're awesome- DON'T give up!

I started smoking for a very stupid reason. when i was in college some guy was smoking next to me. Stupid me thought i would try one and that would be that. Boy was i wrong. i came home for Christmas and my dad warned me that i would get addicted. I just did not listen. I have smoked on and off for the past 9 years. My doc gave me a new drug called chantix. you keep smoking while you take the first pack of of the drug (i think its 10 days) and than you stop smoking, but keep taking the pills until you are ready to stop. My advice for those who smoke or are thinking about it. DONT even have one cig.. once you do you are hooked and for those who already do smoke. STOP. i know its easier said than done, but you will feel better, you will smell better and most of all..you will live lot longer.
