Saddams country had differing ideas about how a country should be run....laws, religion etc...civil war. Unfortunately Saddams (the peoples) Army and their laws okayed death and torture to get what they wanted...so many people died.

The rest of the world were NOT okay with that but didnt do anything huge about it until it directly effected them. The USA 9/11 event made them think Al-qaeda was connected with Iraq..it wasnt but Saddam went on about them having mass weapons of destruction so...USA needed to make the world safe...by getting rid of the weapons (that never existed anyway). Plus they didnt like how IRAQ were scaring everyone else either with their threats.

Saddam wanted modernisation and cohesion of Iraq. Too many others disagreed with that vision (Sunni, Shiite and Kurd) and his answer was to destroy those that opposed (dictatorship). Crimes against humanity. If he'd just jailed them all indefinitely, no torture or death and not bluffed USA....he wouldnt have been nailed to the Judas Tree.

Other countries get that and even jail people for very little....govts are too afraid to get caught up in defending any misdemeanors outside their own juridiction though. Religious people tend to be more defensive because they subconciously know they are in the wrong and WANT to be right..even if they have to kill to prove it. USA is as religious and proud of country as Iraq is. Nobody was picking on Iraq...until they started fighting with everyone around them. They could have stopped the infighting and shut up....but the IQ apparently just isnt there.

The main reason is because he released nerve gas on citizens of his country, was tried and convicted of murdering thousands of innocent people.
However, he could have averted this demise had he simply allowed UN weapons inspectors to make routine inspections. Pretty stupid fellow, Saddam.

He was found guilty of ordering mass murder which was carried out, and sentenced to die by the court. These people work fast. Maybe our judicial system could take some lessons from them. I think 20-30 years of being on death row pending taxpayer funded legal games and appeals is a sick joke on the American taxpayers and a gross insult to the victims of the perptrator's crimes.

George Bush is angry that Saddam dissed his father George 1. George Bush is a crazy egomaniac that needs to be executed like he did Saddam. George Bush was behind the 9-11 attacks.
