I like the new New York Times "reader" that you download from their website so that you can easily read their paper on line. Try selecting the "more", "news in pictures" on the right of the menu options. Most articles have a picture with them, so you simply sequence through the photos quickly, picking ones of interest to click on. That takes you right to the associated story.
