wear his seatbelt? He never does and it really worries me. I've had an uncle, cousin, and 4 friends die in car wrecks because they haven't had their seatbelts on. I've tried the "I'm not leaving until you put it on" routine. I've begged him to put it on. He just gets really upset with me if I bug him about it. His friend died in a crash with a semi and he had his seatbelt on, so he doesn't think that seatbelts work because they didn't work on his friend. This is really important to me because I don't want him to die just because he's being silly. What should I do?

start a habbit that really annoys him and tell him you are not giving it untill he starts to wear his seatbelt

If you are truly serious then you tell him this -
I understand your position on seatbelts. I believe you understand mine as well. I love you too much to have to worry about you whenever you are in a vehicle without your seatbelt on. I don't think it's fair of you to cause me the worry. Therefore, this relationship is over.
Then you walk away.
You can NEVER change someone else. You can only change how YOU react to them.
The above ultimatum might have him wearing seatbelts whenever you are around to see it, but he won't otherwise. If you are prepared for that fact as well as the possible consequences then keep the relationship and stop nagging him. If not, end it.

first of all becalm about it ,explain to him how much you love him and care for him and that him wering his seat belt would mean alot to you . if he dosent understand explain that you carnt enjoy a car journey without been on edge an worried explain how much pain you went through when you lost close ones befor,(little tip- a small tear at this point would be good lol) also say that just because on accident with his mate wearing a seatbelt still killed him dosent mean that the accident would be the same, explain that if he dosent wear his seatbelt and he dose have an accient he might ot die but be parralised forthe rest of his life he might loose his arms its not always the case of being killed well thts all i can say i hope this helps good look !!!:)

It sounds like he doesn't care enough about you or himself to wear a seatbelt. Who cares if he gets upset if you push him to wear his seatbelt. Don't go through life trying to keep him happy if it's over something this dangerous. He is acting like an idiot when he doesn't wear his seatbelt. You really need to think about if you want to spend the rest of your life with a man who is putting himself at great risk by not wearing a seatbelt. If you guys have children in the future you're going to want a man who is going to live to watch them grow. Think about it. He may not be the guy for you. He obviously doesn't care if you worry about him. Sounds selfish to me.

TELL HIM TO EITHER PUT HIS SEATBELT ON OR DONT GET IN THE CAR. ALSO EXPLAIN TO HIM HOW IMPORTANT HE IS TO YOU AND TELL WHAT U HAVE BEEN THROUGH.THATS ALL. IF HE CARES HOW YOU FEEL HE WILL PUT HIS SEATBELT ON. CIAO !

Learn this lesson ok? You can't make anybody do anything. They are their own person. Change starts with him. The reality of it is if he doesn't want to do it, he's not going to do it. Why don't you try backing off him about this subject for awhile. Maybe he'd respond better.
