got relatives in Australia myself!!!
I don't use webcams but I think I should get myself one....it's a great idea to have a chance to 'see' someone that otherwise you would never see!!!!

You need to give more information i think to get the answer you want but...
If you have your own computer, buy a webcam from any computer shop, they start at really good prices now. All good cams will come with a driver (you need to load the cd that comes with the cam so that it will work on your computer).
I would now say to download a programme called "Skype" (www.skype.com) this is free and allows you to talk to anybody else who has the programme for free - wherever they are in the world, you can additionally phone other 'real' phones for an additional charge if you wanted.

You could buy a webcam, they aren't much, you could find one for a reasonable price at your local Future Shop or Bestbuy, installation instructions would be usually included with the product. If you do choose to get one and still need help, don't hesitate to contact me on Yahoo Answers.

Get a webcam, and you'll find that most of them come with their own software and drivers, to allow them to 'talk' to the PC.
Many popular chat programs are set up for video chat. MSN is, and (I think) Yahoo messenger is, too.
There are also chatroom sites (such as paltalk) which allow you to use webcams for public and private chatting

before you go and buy a web cam ... if you have a digital camera check the manual as some digital cameras can also be used as a web cam..... i have a vivitar digital camera it doesthe job just fine

Most location's in australia don't allow webcams for some reason.
