they could save allot of money by leaving them off,100,000 plus stores at about 75 dollars a lock ??

The reason is because if they get robbed or an emergency, by law they have to close until police gets there and investigate the scene on what emergency is called upon. Cause by law, every business must have locks even though they are opened 24/7. Which is a building law, all business must have locks before they can open a business.

They have locks on them for lock downs and when some days when they have to be closed. Or for most cases if someone if about to break in.
