If you are working for a company at home the benefits are:
You can work at your own pace as long as you meet the companies deadlines or expectations.
You don't have to get dressed.
You pollute less because you don't have to commute.
You would save money on gas, insurance and tolls.
You are exposed to less airborne illnesses.
The business you work for wouldn't use so much on overhead as they don't need a space for you.
I personally think that you would be more productive and creative as you would be more happy.
You would have more time with your family and therefore a more stable family unit.

I think hushnow has nailed the pro's quite nicely.
I realize you didn't ask for con's but I have, what I think might be a big one.
Hushnow list not having to leave the house etc. That is a two edged sword. You are with your family a lot more. But, I can tell you getting out of the house is important, I mean very important. I didn't realize how much I appreciated going to work until I retired. I'm sorry, I just can't find the words to stress this point strong enough. From personal experience; if I were still working and given the option to work from home I might accept but I would still want a desk at the office and the demand that I use it at least two days a week. That interpersonal relationship with peers is very important.
That's the best I can do for you. Good luck, I hope it helps.

Working from home helps our environment and oil reserves by avoiding the commute. It can also increase your life expectency (how much you drive per day is a factor). You may also save laundry costs by working in your bathrobe.
Despite all this, though I have the option of working from home, I almost always go to the office. I focus better that way.

Working from home... its oh, so very, very, very easy to get so very very lazy. Day one, dressed, ready to go... its at the computer, connected to the computer at the office and hard at work at your appointed time...
By the end of the first month... you're at the computer sometime after lunch... still got your PJs on, and only half watching what your doing on the job... too busy watching the TV.
