Why is it that when you tell some people your problem, they do not help, instead they use it as joke/gist?

Because they aren't really a friend to begin with. Try confiding in people you can trust for support.

If your talking about asking a personal question on yahoo, then most use it as a joke because they HAVE to get their two points. If your talking about confiding in a friend or someone close then it may be that they are not the person to be confiding in that they don't know how to react, help or offer advice on your 'problem' and by making a joke they are just trying to either deflect their inability to help or that they are trying to lighten the mood in order to cheer you up. It might be worth forewarning your confidant that you are serious about your 'problem' and that you really need advice or help and if they are unable to offer either then thank them for just taking the time out to listen.

people that are like that are scared, pathetic and unfortunately all to common. they are people who don't try and face their problems and deal with them and so spend all their time distracting themselves, very often abusing alcohol and/or drugs, and putting down other people. because they have pushed their emotions away and do everything they can not to feel them and to distract themselves from not only their feelings but stuff they aren't happy with in their lives they become so unfeeling they dont even realise they are hurting you. it has been so long since they have opened up to any1 or been vulnerable they dont remember what it is like when some1 steps all over you, which hurts all the more when you have opened up and are vulnerable.
take this experience and be more cautious to who you open up with in the future, test a person by telling them your are letting them in on something personal and ask them to keep it to themselves, make sure you dont mind every1 knowing what u tell them as they mite blab but make sure its something you havent told any1 else or simply make something up to tell them but again make sure its something u havent told any1 else so if it does get around every1 like wild fire u can be sure of the source. dont tell this to ANY1 else at all then if suddenly every1 knows you know the person u asked to keep it to themselves dont care about you or your feelings. however if after a week or two they haven't told any1 thank them for keeping it to themselves and let them in on what you did if you think they will b ok with it but if they are sensitive or very honest i recommend keeping quite but THEN you can share your thoughts and feelings with them.
never share anything ever again with the person who makes jokes about you personal thoughts and feelings they have shown they cant be trusted AND that they dont care about u or your feelings one little bit, so dont take the risk.
your feelings are worth bein careful with and taking care of. the first time u mess up some how it is a mistake but if you do exactly the same thing again it is no longer a mistake but carelessness.
