It would all depend what country you were flying over and who owned that airspace but you wouldn't because you can't fly after you are six months pregnant

The country of birth generally doesn't affect the baby's nationality. My husband was born in Africa, but he is British because his parents are British.
While giving birth on a plane is unlikely. many airlines let you fly up to the end of your 34th week (eg. British Airways) so it is quite possible that a baby could be born on a plane.

that's a good question you cant fly when your 28 weeks unless you have a full doctors note to say your fit too fly but if you was able to fly i think the birth place would state that you was on plane and that you was between countries it would state your nationality and the country you was flying over

You need a Doctors note to fly after 28 weeks, and I cannot see a full term or near being allowed to fly.

someone else might be able to shed more light on this but when I was applying for a british passport for my 3 month old, the fathers nationality was one factor involved in whether she was entitled to a british passport (plus other factors obviously) but nothing to do with the mothers nationality, I find this bizaare as when you register your baby, its your word [parents] that say's who the father actually is!
