I have recently been involved in a messy break-up with a person who I was sleeping with at my place of employment. Since then I have moved department and offices, but people in my old job have found out about us having sex some believe it and some don't she is denying it, she is 11 years older than me.

Since I have tried talking to her she has reported me to anti-social team who I have met with, when I told them the truth that we were having sex they explained she had told them our relationship was purely platonic. I know I must cut contact and I have done but I still wonder about the future consequences from this. It's affected me slightly mentally. Would you quit your job if you were me?

I'm sure this has made you somewhat uncomfortable in your work environment, but if your job is important to you and you are happy there then I think you should stay. It won't be long before something else happens and becomes the main topic in the office. If it is affecting your work and you are just too uncomfortable on a daily basis then it may be time for you to move on. Only you can make that decision.

I think you're over-evaluating this--you have moved department and offices here and it's over now--just concentrate on your job and forget her. So what people know about it--she's denying it--so don't worry about it. If you are that uncomfortable with it then kep your job until you find another job that suits you--but don't let it happen again or you;ll be doing this again and again.

Since you can't seem to forget and move on, you'd probably be better to change jobs. But, get a grip, it was only a fling.
