We are still not ready with the right combination of players for the world cup. The ODI series against Sri Lanka and West Indies will to a great extent help to decide the players for the World Cup.
India's goal will be to win the world cup and all efforts will be made to achieve this task.

Well! I don't think that we are capable of winning World Cup 2007 after seeing the performance of the Indian Team in the ODIs with S.Africa.
Also, since the world cup is being held in West Indies, I don't think that India would be able to reach even the semis, as they were thrashed by the Windies there

Yes, you have to be ready. In any case the WC is going to be organised as per schedule. Winning the WC is a big ask and at current form and state of the team, I find India does not stand a chance and this time again Australia is going to take home the WC.

i think our cricket team is getting worse daybyday... if it continues like this only,then we cannot win the world cup..but being a indian i should not expect like this...so let us keep a hope that it wins....
team management should take some additional steps to improve the skills of the team

I THINK OUR INDIAN TEAM IS LACKING OUT OF CONFEDENCE. THERE IS NO TEAM SPIRIT IN OUR TEAM LIKE AUSTRALIA. WHENEVER WE NEED TO CHASE FOR RUN ABOVE 280 OR +. OUR TEAM STARTS FALLING. ALL THE PLAYERS PLAY IN TENSION. THEY ARE THINKING ONLY TO WIN THE MATCH. AND IN THIS THE PLAY LIKE ANYTHING. THE ARE NOT THINKING THAT WE SHOULD PLAY WITH STATEGY. AND THE COACH IS THE THE MOST CONTAVERSIAL MAN IN THE TEAM. I THINK THE THE COACH SHOULD BE CHANGED WHY THEY ARE NOT TAKING A COACH FROM INDIA. THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD LEGENDS IN INDIA- LIKE SUNIL GAVASKAR, MOHINDAR AMARNATH, KAPIL DEV,ETC.. THE REASON FOR SELECTING A FOREING COACH IS THAT THE OTHER TEAMS HAVE APPOINTED A FOREING COACH THEN WHY SHOULD WE NOT. ALREADY WE INDIANS ARE NO.1 IN COPYING WHETHER IT IS IN THE FIELD OF MUSIC OR CRICKET. SO THIS ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE CRICKET TEAM FOR 2006. SO WHAT IS YOUR TALLING ABOUT THIS!

No way we can win the worldcup. Its too much to talk about winning the title. First try qualifing for Super-8. My guess is that we'll be out in the group matches itself.
