reminds me of a quote I saw on diplomacy

"inviting someone to go to hell and making it so they actually look forward to the trip"

Yes.... make it look like it is for the benefit of the society.

Examples-

You have to stand ahead of the queue because you are a doctor and you need to hurry up.

You can talk in a movie theatre on your phone because you are a leading politician and you have to discuss something urgent.

You can hitch a ride from ANYONE because you are a police officer and you need to go somewhere really quick.

etc etc

Hello - I don't think self-interest can ever be wrapped to look like a gift. It will always leave people feeling ripped off and like they have just opened a bag of rubbish! Try hiding it under modesty and humility.

The best thing about gifts is giving them to other people who you appreciate. if you give your "self" to someone who will appreciate the gift it will need no wrapping.

We are a social being... therefore real self interest lies in the interests of the society.

i would put you in a bag of love, and tie you up with a happiness bow,,,,,,, and place a "i am the most fantastic" note on you,,,,
if you center on yourself, you can develop yourself,,,,,, if you love yourself, you are happy,,,,, and a developed , self-loved happy person is capable of doing great things and loving others
