Yes, and he will veto anything good for America and the working class. Democrats do not have the votes to over ride the veto. That would require Republican support. That will never happen. Bush has also ask for line item veto, to cut pork, that will never happen.
WE now have a $9 trillion National Debt under republican control in the past over the next ten years, The Iraq war will cost working class tax payers over $2 trillion. Republicans want the working class to pay for their mistakes not the wealthy or the Corporations.
If your under 30 and working class you have been screwed by the Republicans who have been in control of Congress, Big time. The Impeachment of Bush and Cheney is the only course of action that can be taken. BTW, The alternative Minimum tax will not pass Bush's veto. It also will not get the votes to over ride the veto. Bush and Republicans do not want to let the working class have that lower tax.

In the years Bush has been in office and the Republicans controlled congress GWB vetoed a grand total of one bill and it had to do with stem research that he opposed but majority in Congress who approved.
With the Democrats now in control of Congress he will use his veto to oppose bills that will protect Ameican citizens or ensure our rights.

The President can veto any bill that comes before him, when he does this, the congress can override the veto with a two thirds majority vote.

Yes, if that's what he's made to do by there being to much extra stuff put into each bill. A President has the right to veto any bill that's put on his desk and tell the congress to rework it.

No, the written commonly used purpose from Nancy Palosi is to "placed the Republicans on the protective". which potential to play King of the Hill with the Republicans and the present administration. they're pushing the envelope in an attempt to get veto's. They wish it's going to make the Rep. and Admin. look undesirable a lifeless ringer for the toys and children in the front of the cameras in the course of the SCHIPs crap. Theatrics favor to end and compromise and actual cooperation favor to commence.

It takes a 2/3rd's majority to override a presidential veto so Bush still wields much power. What will pass is amnesty and a guest worker program.

He could but I'm guessing he won't because the dem's have the impeachment scare tactic to throw in his face every time he considers a veto.

Yes but he will not need to. The junk the new congress tries to pass will be blocked by the senate. The senate also blocked all the junk the old congress tried to pass.
About all these idiots can do is pass resoultions.
Isn't it time for term limits?
