Absolutely, she has passed beyond protesting the war, which is her right. She has turned the death of her son into a circus for her own notoriety. She wants attention, and she has lost all credibility in doing so. She may have become unbalanced at the loss of her son, and as a father I understand that, but she is not helping her cause anymore, as she just gives the appearance of a mentally unstable person with a microphone

I don't like answering a question with a question, but in this case I believe it to be necessary. Would you feel the same way if you lost a son or daughter in the war in Iraq? IF the US was actually accomplishing something or making some progress, I might say "yea, she sould shut up and get on with her life." However, that's not the case. We are no closer to a "victory" than we were nearly 4 years ago. The majority of the Iraqi people DO NOT want us there. It is also no longer a matter of getting rid of Sadaam Hussein. The Iraqis are fighting each other for control of the country. We have gotten ourselves right smack in the middle of a full fledged CIVIL WAR, whether Bush wants to use that term or not. As for her "going home........," she is home, in the United States of America, where she has every right given to her by the Constitution to say and do what she feels is right or important to her. You and I and every other U.S citizen have those same rights. Thank God for that.
"God Bless America!"
Have a nice day!
P.S. More and more Americans are growing unhappy with us being over there. Look at the polls. Bush's approval rating for the war is down around 25%. That should say something.

As a grieving mother she started out with legitimacy but she turned into a sad joke. She's like women who pushed for equality in the 60's and 70's. Most acted with dignity and accomplished a great deal. The bra burners just looked stupid and gave the movement a bad image.

I have to agree with you. I think this poor woman is using the situation for her own sense of self-importance and self-aggrandizement. I don't think she gives a hoot about the war or her son; she is doing this because it gets her a lot of attention and support from people who are exploiting her to aid and abet America's enemies. She is now a kind of 'celebrity' and her life is exciting and busy and full of attention. I don't think she knows or cares what harm she is doing to her country.

Actually I sort find it a bit of ironic justice. No doubt she irritating as can be but the democrats MADE her a celebrity and now their "Sheehanstien" monster is playing in their press conferences. Oh , well ;-)

I believe I must be a great deal more sick of her shenanigans than you. I think using her son's sacrifice to advance her own perverse ideals, antithetical to her son's, is one of the most disgusting and shameful things a mother could sink to.

She probably would, but we haven't had a leader since Bill left office, so she has to keep an eye on the moron that the Supreme Court placed in the position. Thanks, Cindy!

I disagree with everything she stands for, but it was nice to see her crash a Democrat news conference for a change. At least she is consistent in her stand...consistently wrong mind you...but at least consistent.

You are exactly right, the problem is that she is an instrument of the left wing liberals, they manipulate her from behind the scenes..âº
