It is not right but when you have money the way they do and can pay lawyers the big bucks you can get away with murder!!!! We know this has even happened. Like you say if it was a regular citizen we would have been put in jail no question!!! I do not know of a law that states anything about Prosecutors not doing their job but they should be taking before a review board and fined or their licenses taken away!!!!

I know, it ticks me off, too! I highly doubt any laws are broken, but judges do have latitude when arraigning the accused and prosecutors more often than not plea bargain their cases to avoid trial. But I'm not a lawyer nor a judge, so maybe someone else can offer a more detailed explanation!

You go Girl! That question kicked rear!! The best way to fix it at the voting booth. Most Prosecutors are elected officials so if you are really riled up, work for the easy going prosecutors opponent in the next election

Life is like a dung sandwich. The more bread you have, the less dung you have to eat, relatively speaking.
Undoubtedly the police screw up on some of these arrests. A good attorney can get it thrown out of court or plead it out. And we all know that if you have plenty of $$$ you are more likely to be able to afford a good attorney. Look at OJ!

You are not alone in seeing the injustice of this.
There are two groups of people who are USUALLY above the law: Celebrities & Democrat Politicians.
To correct? In some RARE cases, the public's outcry will bring justice. But, not often.
Good Question. Thank you for pointing this out to everyone.

I agree. Too many times do celebrities get off the hook with a slap on the wrist because they have the money to make it go away. But if you or I were in the same situation, then we would have the book thrown at us. Why is that, because I do not get it either!

It makes me sick to my stomach.Money makes the world go round and the more you have the more influence you have. The thing that really boggles the mind is that when these rappers commit violent crimes they are put on a pedestal and worshipped by young fans. This in turn makes their record sales go up which makes them more money. It is gross.I weep for the future!!!!!

"extraordinary personalities" get extraordinary justice. Wealthy people get the best lawyers and thus get the best justice. Poor schlubs get the public defender and sent to the pokie.
Mandatory sentencing might stop it or maybe graduated fines based on income but that would cause civil rights and libertarian groups to cry foul!

Yeah but its not just celebreties. Do you think that the fortune 500 C.E.O really goes to jail or losses his license. If you have money you can get out of almost anything. You just dont hear about it when its the rich guy who owns a car dealership.
