I get red bumps on my legs when I shave them. I like to keep them smooth and don't have the patience for waxing. So how do I get rid of the red bumps?

The next time you shave them dont use shaving cream use either baby oil or hair conditioner, I have never had those nasty bumps since I started using those two things. Also make sure you use a fairly new razor.

I would say that whatever you are putting on your skin to shave is getting into the hair folicles when you shave! I have had the same thing and use a medicated cream such as savlon or germolene!

the other thing to do is maybe shave them every other day or so to give the skin time to heal before starting to shave again!

Also don't put anything directly onto the skin immediately after shaving as this will also get into you folicles and cause irritation. Wait a while and then use something non perfumed or an oil. I use Body Shops Dry Mist Oil about £6 for a spray bottle

So many things that you are doing wrong. When using shaving cream you are supposed to have your legs wet. This red bumps is called razor burn. Try getting a shaving cream that is made for sensitive skin. And if your parents won't buy good razors then you have always try a buying a good set yourself. And when you put lotion on you want to put it on when your legs are somewhat wet and the lotion should not be scented.

HI
There is a lotion out there specifically to shave with so that you don't get them it is exactly like the shaving cream that men use but sometimes it doesn't always work try Nair it gives your legs a silky glossy look with no bumps. Hope this helps.

Don't just shave your legs - soap them first (it has the same effect of shaving foam on the face) & then the soap has the soothing action of removing the hair & leaving you with smoother legs with no red bumps.

try changing your razor, shaving foam/gel and or technique.

i had the same problem when shaving my neck, make sure you go in the same direction as the hair. also try an aloe vera based shaving foam, i had some given to my from friends in the usa and was great, or try the king of shaves oil, you can get it in boots, it comes in little blue bottles.

I used to get those, I found out I was allergic to the foam I was using. I now do them in the bath with my bubble bath as the lubricant. Don't get the bumps anymore.

Try some other hair removal method, which may be more suitable.
