Hello, I keep posting, but I find it helps;) Sooooo...period is due Saturday...I am nervous, I really don't want my period to start. I have minor pregnancy symptoms and we did what we were supposed to, during ovulation *wink*. How do I handle the nervousness of waiting to take the test and hoping not to see my period. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but it's hard. Any advice for my wait until sunday?

Sorry this isn't going to be much help at all, but I know how you feel. I only started trying about a month ago, but like you we have done all the right things at the right time and now I have just got to wait. You may not think it but lucky you only having to wait until sunday, i'm not due until 16th Jan! Its so stressing! I don't want mine to come either.

What I will say is try not to worry too much or get too nervous as this can delay your period by a day a 2 which could give you false hope. That doesn't def happen though.

Good Luck! Keep us updated! x

I'll be checking on the answers to this question too, so hopefully I can use some ideas if anyone comes up with any!

I am in my 3rd month of TTC and the first two I was so obsessed with getting pregnant I was stressing myself out and couldn't think about anything else, this month I took it easy and relaxed, charted my BBT and used preseed at ovulation, once again I am getting antsy to take a test but I have to wait another week before I can test. Stressing out about it doesn't help at all, try to distract yourself with other things, read a good book or see a movie to take your mind off of it, you can already take a test if you want to since your period is due sunday, take one of the early pregnancy tests but don't be too disappointed if it comes back negative. You have to decide what you can handle better, playing the waiting game or seeing a possible negative. But even if it is negative there is still hope since it is early. Good luck!

It sounds like I'm not the only one who has this issue!!!!!
Mine is due on the 13th and the next week is going to be hell. I've been trying for 6 months and everytime I get close to that time of the month the last thing I want to see is my period.

I find it kind of ironic considering there was a time in my life where getting my period was a good thing (LOL)

Good Luck to all of you.....I hope we'll all be mommies soon

I agree with you, I find talking about it helps, I am in the same boat, but been trying for 12 months, I just started charting and testing for ovulation this month so we have done the baby dance at all the right times too, only my period is not due until the 16th of January... we've just been 'busying' ourselves *wink wink* to take our minds off of it and so that we both feel appreciated and to remind ourselves that we aren't doing it JUST to get pregnant.
And just remember that if it doesn't happen this month, you get to have more fun again next month doing the baby dance!

Good luck and let us know what happens!

....it can be all consuming can't it??
it's really hard not to think about it and not get your hopes up....if you really, really don't want to think about it-then i'd avoid thinking about how you're gonna do the nursery, and what name you'll choose, etc....try and keep all the "planning" out of the forefront of your mind....and then try and occupy yourself with something-like a book or calling a friend you haven't talked to in awhile, or making a new recipe....good luck!!...hope you'll be celebrating on sunday!!
