i have 11 neons and 7 glowlights.
last month,i had 24 nad now...they are 18...i dont think i overfeed or make them hungry......i feed them twice a day,i just put plants for them to live in last sunday,i always check in feeding if everybody got a piece of a flake, the tank is clean but i just dont know why they die!

i know im taking care of my fish but when the time comes if there are only 8,what fish would you suggest me to add?
please no sharks cause they are aggresive.
no catfish cause they are ugly.
please give me fish that would go well with my neons and glowlights,i dont want aggresive fish cause i plan to have a peaceful tank with colorful fish living in it.

please suggest a peaceful and at the same time, colorful fish.

I have black skirt tetras, and they are great. Get a few, because they are community fish and will get sad if they are alone. Guppies are nice, but only get the boys. The pet shop will try to talk you into females, but don't get any unless you want continuously fat fish spitting out babies.

Problem is that if the tetras are dying anything else you might add is likely to suffer the same fate. I'd concentrate on getting your tank stable before you outlay on new fish.

I would think feeding twice a day is too much - cut back on the food and clean the tank and see what happens

Also I'm pretty sure tetras like aged and slightly acidic water as they originate from the amazon - make sure you only change half your water at cleaning time and check out the water's PH.

When all is well and the fish stop dying - stick with fish that like the same water as the tetras and that aren't large or aggressive

This link might help with selecting types of fish that go well with tetras

I would be concerned that something is causing the deaths of your tetras other than overstocking (which is, however, a distinct possibility). Make sure you do some research, and test your water parameters, to ensure that you won't just kill any new fish you get. Solve the problem you have now before getting more fish.
Theoretically, if you had 8 tetras, you could add a trio of guppies or platies. Or 5 danios or harlequin rasboras. Or one male dwarf gourami, or one male OR female betta.

Sounds like your ammonia or ph is off you should check it before adding any other fish.I think after you check the levels you should try black skirt tetras they are very graceful fish and good community fish.
