I woke up this morning and there was no tampon string hanging out of me...I didn't tuck it up there or anything...i was really tired last night... i'm almost positive that I put one in late last night... Sometimes I do things in my sleep....last night I did turn off my 2am alarm to get up and do my homework..and i don't remeber that at all.....is it still up there...is that possible? Or do you think I could have taken it out at 2am..when i clearly woke up ...although i don't remeber it.... i feel crazy....help me out please. I'm vagina phoic...I've never in my life stuck a finger up there and don't plan to now...is there any other way. Gosh this is embarrassing.

is it totally inappropriate to ask my boyfriend to reach up there and look for me...He's used to being around there and he's never really had a problem with sex during my period ect..

I'm sure it couldn't have gone that far up to lose the string or you should feel major discomfort down there right now. You could have taken it out but you just don't remember.

It's your body honey. Just lubricate your finger and reach up to check. If you find it, grab hold with your index finger and thumb and pull the tampon out. A tampon can NOT get lost up there as the cervix is too small to let a tampon through.
If you can't or won't take care of yourself, then you need to make an appointment with your OBGYN or go to the emergency room. The doctor or nurse will then stick their hands up there and remove it for you.

You probably won't feel it if it is up there. If you feel more comfortable, have your boyfriend check. If there is a tampon up there, he might not be able to get it and you would have to make a doctor's appointment. Just call your family doctor and s/he will be able to help you. You do need to get it out though, it could cause an infection. Don't be embarrassed, this happens more than you think!

you can put your finger in there a little to see if its there but. i dont think i will be.
you can feel them a little bit when they are in there
