I'm going to vote for Hillary just to get ol' Bill back in the neighborhood. Heck...could get health care straightened out...The current state of affairs can only be laid at the feet of the power/money hungry fools that now occupy the White house.

I don't blame much on clinton over the last six years except for the 9/11 attacks. Clinton was a huge part of the problem. Had he show his balls to other countries and not just interns, 9/11 probably would not have happened. His second mistake was gutting our military. Clinton cut us by 2/3 and then deployed more Soldiers in his eight years than the US had since WW II. Thats why I ignore Democrats that cry about how Bush is deploying our troops. So far, Bush hasn't even come close to Clintons numbers.
Other than that, this administration has set itself up for failure. As a republican I can tell you that I am not happy with the way a LOT of things were handled.

To quote one Republican Senator from Utah. "Clinton is responsible for each and every problem the United States faces today" Orrin Hatch R-Utah
Hatch is a Mormon and that group is basically his political base.
Clinton isn't at fault for any problem that we face in the world. The fault lies with the Congress, the president, and the people who supported the right wing conservative agenda.
Republicans controlled the congress for 12 years. Bush has had no oversight by the republican led congress and thus has buried the country in debt, involved us in a war in iraq that is not winnable.
The blame for all the present problems can be laid upon the current president and the congress. Definately not clinton

I hope that someday our government will act in a truly bipartisan manner. Right now it seems that politicians are more interested in making the other party look bad than the issues. For example,
I just read where Democrats are busily hiring lawyers in
preparation for various investigations into how Republicans have handled certain issues - even before the new Congress is sworn in !!! I'm sure that if the roles were reversed, the Republicans would be doing the same thing. It is very discouraging.

Blame is a useless game, but it goes hand in hand with politics. We need solutions and blame only creates more problems as it keeps the divide preesent in everyone's minds. The biggest problem is that neither side wants to admit the failings of their own side. Most people cannot put all the events into a proper historical context to see the patterns which lead to certain events. Then there are people like yourself who place blame while complaining about blame being placed. This is neither reasonable nor an honest search for a solution.

Actually if you go back far enough this all started as far back as the end of Carter's administration and firmly landed in Reagans lap.
The truth is Saddam was a controlled attack dog for Reagan's foreign policy.
Let's see now ...Reagan Rep.-8yrs./ Bush Sr. Rep.-4yrs./Clinton Dem.-8yrs./Bush Jr. Rep.-6yrs {so far}
Of the last 24 yrs....
We've had 18 yrs of Republican rule and 8 yrs of Democrat rule.
Saddam's been committing human rights attrocities since the first year he took over.....He killed leaders of his cabinet who he felt were a threat. Without the benefit of trial or whether they were guilty of his paranoid accusations or not.
Since President Bush has admitted that there never was a connection to Iraq and 9/11 like he propagandized about in 2002 It seems there really is no other President to blame but George W. Bush.
The decent Republicans are humiliated at the fact that someone of their party wasn't smoother at hiding the truth. Corruption is only corruption when someone acknowledges it.
It's frightening to know that even decent men are willing to let corruption continue to show support for their party lines!!
Who EXACTLY are the "evildoers" ???

Blaming the President has been a national pastime long before baseball cam along and I would expect that it will go on forever. Even things that are not in his control are blamed on him. There are letters wriiten by the senate of Rome blaming the Caesar of that time for similar silly things. Clinton 1 &2 will meet a similar fate. He is as much fun to Blame as is GW.

I don't think he has much to do with anything but people want to keep bringing him up so to those who do you have to accept the mistakes he made as well as the good he did. People say we would be better off with him as president today but that is like a married man thinking his girlfriend will make him happier, that is until she becomes his wife. You can't fairly compare two presidents because the times are totally different and in hindsight they could all have done better.

The word 'solution' is the most important in your question. Blame solves nothing. It gives blowhards a forum, certainly, but nothing is accomplished. Mind you, I think citizens come by it honestly, as that's all they see the politicians do...blame the other side rather than focus on a solution to the problem - no matter what the problem is.

Clinton was great in reducing government spending and size. The blame he deserves is for encouraging terroism. He did this by investing billions in attcking his public enemy #1--Microsoft. Now, it is true that Microsoft is not perfect but most think Al Qaeda is more of a threat. Clinton did not think so by the way he retreated from terrorism in Somalia and did not punish bombers of the UN or African embassies. Yet he lost his war against Microsoft. So I believe a key reason why 9-11 occurred is due to Clinton presenting the US to the world as fearful and subsmissive to terrorism. And he does deserve blame for that for many years as Al Qaeda contines to be even more of a threat than Windows and Xbox.
