Hi
I have a friend, who wants to park his car in the parking spot allocated to me by my landlord. What if he keeps his car there for 4-6 months and someone steals it?
Am i responsible for it or is he?
Should i make him sign a letter saying he is responsible for whatever happens to the car?

You probably do not have the authority to let someone else use your assigned parking spot. Legally that would be a sub-lease and most leases have clauses against sub-leases without the landlord's approval. There's a good chance that the landlord would have it towed as it is not authorized by the landlord to use that space and is trespassing on the property.

In any case, the owner of the vehicle assumes any and all risks to their property absent any explicit agreement to the contrary. And since he would be a trespasser, he'd have fewer rights or claims than you would with your car.
