You're certainly historical enough to be entering perimenopause. Menopause itself (the complete cessation of intervals for a 12 months or more) averages at age 50.5 or thereabouts, but some thing from age 40 on shouldn't be quite considered early. Perimenopause is a state that can go on for years, although. Every body may be very specific -- for some women they hardly ever discover menopause at all: durations simply get further aside and finally discontinue. For others it can be years of varied weird and upsetting techniques, gigantic suffering, atrophy of genitals, development of moustache etc. Take it because it comes.

,YES First check with your doctor to confirm that you are going through the menopause. I went through the change at 36years old and suffered with hot flushes for just a year I have felt perfectly well for the past 28 years. My daughter who is 41 has just started the menopause this was confirmed with her GP. It depends whether you have had your family, if not you will need help from your doctor.

Yes, early menopause is possible and does happen. Go to your doctor to check out what's happening because it could be something different.

It is possible that you have started perimenopause, but I am pretty sure that most doctors will tell you that you are to young. I know from past experience. Stress can create the same symptoms as perimenopause. In my early to mid thirties I was certain that I had started, but it turned out that it was just stress from my marriage.
If you have not had children or have had your tubes tied you can started perimenopause early. Check the web site out below, I think that it can help.

I'm afraid so.
A friend of mine suffered it early but horribly. She used to haemorrhage so much in the end she had to have a hysterectomy and she was only just over 30.
