They say forgiving the person who commits that crime is to heal yourself, but I don't think I would ever forgive someone who killed any of my children. When I see crimes like that on television, I get so angry where I know I would seek revenge if someone killed my child. Of course, I am thinking of murder or negligence, not an honest accident. That would still be hard, but I could forgive in that case.

I would have to if I didn't want to suffer until I died. I would find some excuse for why it happened or ask myself that old cliche: Why NOT me? Forgiveness is so hard. You beg to forgive after the first few years of begging and dreaming of revenge. Forgiveness just happens because you have been praying it would happen and a ten ton load falls off your back. You can feel it. You don't LOVE the person per se, but that load of hate and revenge is soooo heavy that you can FEEL it when it's finally gone. never give up trying to forgive even if it takes a lifetime.

I couldn't forgive nor never forgive them. I would be in a limbo of forgiveness forever. This is because no one would ever know the exact situation and social strain between the two individuals. The killing could also be because one of the parties was mentally strained.

No - and I don't think you have to forgive crimes like that.
Who says you should?
There is absolutely no retribution for a murdered family member.

It would be very difficult to forgive someone for this offense. My initial reaction would be hellfire and vengeance. I believe over time I would try to forgive the person. I say that because I am aware that forgiveness brings peace and closure. It isn't something you do for them, its something you do for yourself.

I don't think it's fair to say that I would forgive the murderer, but I would certainly try.
