What are the most 'beautiful' scenes you've witnessed in movies?

I have to say that I think the most beautiful scenes I've witnessed in movies were both in V For Vendetta; when V blows up the Old Bailey with fireworks, and at the end when parliament is blown up with fireworks. Complete with the 1812 Overture music blasting out, I had to keep rewinding that scene because it took my breath away!

What about you's?

If seen on a big screen, The movie "Out of Africa" has a scene when Robert Redford flies a small single engine plane over the plains of Kenya, it is unbelievable scenery. (no explosions if that is what you are after)

Honestly I think that in V for Vendetta when he goes on the bus and takes so many people out that was amazing. Also, I love watching war movies like Saving Private Ryan. They are amazing if you want to teach someone a lesson about life. Also, I love the The Notebook when they finally get to make love that is also a very beautiful scene because you can see so much passion!

A champagne bottle floating through space and smashing on the hull of the new Enterprise in Star Trek Generations.
P.S. The last scene in Cinema Paradiso where the old man leaves a can of film for Toto. His masterpiece, it contains a thousand kisses which from the all the movies he had to censor.
The the last scene from Age of Innocence where Newland Archer (Daniel Day Lewis) goes to Austria to meet Ellen Olenska (Michelle Pfieffer). But he sits on the curb staring up at the window and leaves. He says some things are better remembered as they were. I swear you will miss a beat.

The first Star Trek movie going through the nebula was cool even if the movie progressed VERY slowly...

The movie Born Free (early 70's) was great for Africa scenery...

House of Flying Daggers....the use of color throughout the movie is wonderful. I can watch the movie over and over again.

But most breathtaking scene is the fight scene in the end...the fight starts with a fall background and then it starts snowing and the two fighters (I forget their names) that are fighting over Mu are dressed in vibrant blue and green. As the snow falls heavier, it covers everything in white...which I believes symbolizes death, as white is used for morning, etc. in many asian cultures. And the white makes the drops of blood that appear so vivid.

Somersby!!

The most beautiful, sad movie EVER.

Richard Gere comes back from war and returns to his "wife" Jodie Foster. Only he isn't her husband. He gets sent to prison for murder (only it was the real hubby, not him) She tells the Judge that he is NOT her husband (but remember, she has been living in "sin" with him since his return, and he doesn't want her reputation tarnished!) The Judge asks her " how do you know he is not your husband?" and she replies "because I never loved my husband!" Beautiful. You must see it to understand. He was away at war for years, and obviously one changes over the years.
