My daughter is on O2. It's £10 a month with 300 texts free a month & the £10.00 that you put on the phone goes towards your calls.
You then get O2 rewards & so far she has gained 500 weekend call minutes.
The sim cards are occasionally free from the O2 website & you can order up to 10 simcards.
I have found this to be a great deal, as she usually sends up to 30 texts daily & stays within her 300 free texts.

You could try o2 or orange. Orange do a simcard where you can have free unlimited orange-orange phones calls from 7pm-12am also if you top up with £10 you also get 300 free texts> £20 600 texts> £30 1000 texts.
O2 you can buy a Genie simcard where you either have i think 300 texts or 150 mins of talktime.

02 is probably the best for PAYG and they usually give out free sim cards too - do a search for free 02 sim cards - something should come up. My boyfriend is on 02 and he is always getting free messages, free calls, and they even texted him before xmas saying they would credit his phone with £30 credit!! Don't know why I still have a contract phone..
