Probably got some air in the plumbing. Search for that small protuberance on the side of the heaters that you can turn left (now, that'd probably be right-side in UK, lol!), with long-beaked pliers and allowing the air off the plumbing. Now, you want to do that on each n' every heater in your flat/apartment. Don't forget a bowl for when hot water surges, though. Enjoy!

You have to "bleed" them.
