Psychology is a great course to study. In studying this field, you will learn about the human mind. You'll learn various ways to teach certain behaviors and even to extinguish other behaviors. This is a course from which you'll benefit for life as you will use it on a daily basis from parenting, to having pets, in your job and even in relationships. It is the "Owner's Manual" to the human mind.

I am currently a college junior taking psychology. If you are looking to do something easy then don't waste ur time, because if you do not like it you won't excel in it. This goes for all other courses that you may study. I recommend to take it took get a differrent view of the the world around but try an intro course first

I first started to study psychology in high school and after the first term, even if we went to the basic theories of psychologies, ranging from behaviorism, cognitive, psychodynamic and others, i though that after the first term, EVERYBODY SHOULD TAKE AT LEAST ONE TERM OF PSYCHOLOGY. Without you knowing you start understanding the world around you, the world in your head also, a little better and it gives you a nice perspective on things.
For sure, psychology if you want to continue after that, is a tough subject, it's a lot of reading.
Depending if you are in highschool or university. I recommend at the uni level:
Clinical psychology -- where you learn about all the "crazy" disorders, from sociophobia, schizophrenia, personality disorders, eating disorders to psychopathy, gender disorders and such. Quite wild and very interesting.
Neuropsychology -- everthing that has to do with the control of the brain (neurons) on behavior. Very cool cos it is just amazing (and sad too) how people change once they had a head injury.
Behaviorist psychology -- teaches you how to train your dog to do tricks and children, and your parents if you want, just anybody..!
Sensory psychology -- has to do with the study of senses, this subject and neuropsychology is more a biology subject but very intriguing
That's some examples of subject that i would recommend. I just recommend you take at least one "general psychology" course, give you a good first overview on whether you want to continue or not.
Good luck..!

I think psychology is a good and nice course to study nowaday but you must be carefully for not studying only for solving your own problems. You shouldn't be care about it's a difficult or an easy course. You should choose a course to study only if you like it enough. I'm sure it's going to be so easy as you think if study sufficiently.

It's fascinating to those who like to ask why and like to analyze things about life and people. I loved Abnormal Psychology the most because I didn't find myself in those categories. What a relief! But you have to start with plain psy. and healthy psy before you can take the most interesting classes. I LOVED it. I still buy psy textbooks from a college buddy when I feel like things have changed. In psy. your education expires around every 10 years though. I have to stay up with it.

Everything in the world depends on personal preference. If you enjoy it, take it. You can always back out of it if you don't like it.
