you must either - Have a non high definition TV,
- Have an old HDTV

So you have to either - get a new tv,
Put up with the excellent picture that you can get through analogue connections. At present there are no adapters since the whole point is that hdmi keeps the signal digital the whole time so doesn't lose anything in transmission, f you had a converter you would lose the same amount quality as you would with a standard scart or audio-visual cables, so you may as well have just used them.

are the plugs red, white, yellow(composite), red, green, and blue(component), if so they are component and composite connections so that you can use one or the other, for progressive scan picture you will use the 3 component cables (some times listed as Pb,Pr, & Y), and the red and white composite cables to give you stereo sound, you may want to plug these into a seperate amp or stereo system

well you probably see a red, green, blue connection, and then a red yellow white connector thing. you can put the red green and blue connectors into the back and put the red and white into the red and white parts, if thats how your tv is set up. or maybe you need an hdmi things which you gotta probably buy separately. I connected my wii to my tv without trouble. I got mine brand new from http://www.doiop.com/wiii.

Set the screen size to 4:9 in the screen settings menu on the TV. The Wii looks great.

there is an adapter in the box, and you should be able to use that, if not you will then have to talk to the shop that sold it to you, mine only has 3 plugs, but good luck
