The first thing is to be able to demonstrate that your decisions are technically sound. In other words be able to show which things were done by you and those done under his direction.

(Its also called 'covering your own ******')

The technical manager has to balance technical solutions against business needs. Do bear that in mind.

Ive seen many cases where pretty awful programming code get accepted because it does (only just) what is needed at the time.

Then the guy that writes the stuff gets all the credit when it falls over and he fixes it. Your work, which has been working perfectly and thus getting no attention gets no credit.

Been there?

You are still part of the team so dont try and overrule any instruction from on hight. It can backfire badly.

Remain enthusiastic about your work. Talk about it to others and give credit where its due....yourself and others. Be seen.

Dont hide yourself away and complain to others. You can have the worst boss in the world but negative comments will work against you.

Give the impression you are always ready to hit the ground running, no matter what..

and be patient.....managers rarely last long anyway.

Not to insult you, but better English skills would help you climb the ladder in the company. You have many mistakes in this question, including basic ones such as punctuation and grammar. How we appear on paper forms opinions with those who read it.

You must deal with this immediately. Do not put up with this type of behavior from a manager. You need to take firm action to show it is not accepted by you and that you are a strong person who will not put up with such behavior.
