The song is "The lift is up where we belong" by Joe Cocker and from the film An Officer and A Gentleman starring Richard Gere.

This site says it's Heat.

But the 2nd sites said - Moulin Rouge. I saw Moulin Rouge on a couple different sites so that is probably the more probable one. The key part of your question though is "ends with the song" not ends with the quote. Hmm? And Moulin Rouge had original music I thought.

Oh wait I see. It was part of the Elephant Love Medley.

I see "An Officer and a Gentleman" listed a bunch of places too now that I see everyone else got it.

Another problem with the question too is that movies usually end with a different song if you go by the end credits than the last song of the last shot before the end credits.

For instance "Happy Feet" ended with "The Joker" by The Steve Miller Band.

Anyone out there know of a site that shows end credits just as they do in the movie theater? E-mail me if you do please.
