My printer keeps saying it's paper jammed...even though there was no paper in it at the time it started doing it. Ive tried lifting the scanner compartment to check for blockages and everything but it's still doing it. I rely on my printer for work. Any suggestions???

I'd agree with DBN, put some paper in. You sometimes get the same error message for both, depending on the model. Also, try turning the power to the printer off completely, wait a bit and turn it on again, sometimes this'll clear a "nonsense".

sometimes the paper jammed and no paper buttons/messages are same

so try putting paper in there - or if it is also a CD printer - close the CD print draw.
