I was told when I was but a girl, that if you swallow chewie, it will stay in your belly for 7 years....That is a long long time...
So, now, even if I wanted to swallow that chewing gum...I have a deep seated resolve to throw it out....Who else was told this?

I can't remember what I was told if I swallowed my gum as a child but I stopped chewing a long time ago and didn't swallow it.

Well i swallow my gum when i'm in school..i think it's gross to pull it from your mouth with your hand and stick it in the garbage (like most kids do). Lol but when i was a kid i was told you'd have a better chance of getting struck by lightning! By My babysitter (who turned out to actually steal some of my moms jewelery!). So yeah i swallow it..don't worry about the stomach thing.

I was told all sorts of wierd things about swallowing gum though i'm not gonna share coz it's not nice, but believe me i don't swallow it anymore, i just can't. Even though after getting older i tried to make myself swallow it but i just couldn't

I think I was told it got stuck to your stomach. ick!!!!!
I do not chew gum anymore!
( it actually does come out the old fashion way heehee)

you would be super. it is going to take a llllooooonngg time to digest yet you would be ok. as long as you do no longer swallow chewing gum like standard there is not any longer something incorrect with it. It happens to loads of folk. no longer something to be disturbing approximately.

I was told that I'd choke from swallowing gum, but that has never happened to me, once.

I was! But I don't believe it-I think it's just an urban legend. But I don't swallow my gum anymore however!

i only swallowed some by acident once cuz it was candy that turns into gum, so i just chewed it and ate it.. ♥
