(1/10) / (1/4)
Multiply and divide the fraction by 4
(1/10)*4 / (1/4)*4
=4/10
=2/5

In Ratio form it would be 2:5

the solution is simple dear..

total pesticides in USA = x
part of fungicides among the pesticides in USA =1/10 *x
= x/10

part of insectides among the pesticides in USA =1/4*x
=x/4
so the ratio can be put as = x/10 / x/4
so bring the term x/4 on top i.e x/10 X 4/x = 4/10 so
the answer is 4/10
