I want 2 select WELCOME SCREEN in user accounts in COntrol panel. But a message comes when i select - "Change the way user Log on, Log Off" that A recently installed program had disabled The Welcome Screen. You must un-instal the program. The Following file name help you identify the program that made the change. "vrlogon.dll"

The logon screen was changed by the Fingerprint Software, so if you want to change it back, start the ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software program. On it's main screen, choose "Settings" then "System Settings". On the "Logon" tab, uncheck "Enable Logon Support". (You can also uncheck "Start Control Center on Windows Startup" on the "General" Tab if you don't want to continually be reminded to register your fingerprint.)

You'll have to re-start the machine for the settings to take effect. Then the simple graphic login screen should return.

or the file itself has been changed by some other security login type of program.....either uninstall the program or try going to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_wel_screen.htm for a fix

u have to re install windows XP again
