A business development manager in a recruiting firm's main job is to bring in new clients.
Cold calling, schmoozing, and networking are all big parts of this job. You have to get the company's name in the hand of HR managers everywhere.
Good luck. Many recruiting firms are having a rough time now that the internet is such a large part of looking for an employee.
