Hi is there anyone here working for the United nations?

I need some info about getting a job in UN... Can you please help me?

In the UN, the position depends on the specific agency that you wish to join and the country you wish to work in.

But typically there are two classes: the General Services staff (GS) which are mostly admin staff or even research assistants; and the Professional Staff (PS) staff which are mostly masters degree holder and higher. While possible, it is harder to make the transition from a GS staff to a PS staff, so it is better to get into the UN system as a PS staff. Understand that the UN system is terribly bureaucratic (sometimes, worse than working in the government)

I suggest you check out the available jobs at the UN system. This site has the link to the job vacancies of various UN organizations from UN itself to UNIDO to UNDP. Learn what each specialized agency do and the type of people they are looking for and the qualifications needed in these positions
