Liverpool won the last 2 major competition without taking the lead in both cup finals, the 2005 UEFA Champions' League final & 2006 English FA Cup final.
the Reds were 3-0 down at half time during the 2005 UEFA Champions' League final in Istanbul, Turkey but they scored 3 goals in the space of 6 minutes to level the score at 3-3 & subsequently won 3-2 on penalties.
the miracle of Istanbul came back again during the 2006 English FA Cup final when underdogs, West Ham United scored two goals before Djibril Cisse reduced the deficit to 2-1 at half time. Steven Gerrard level the score at 2-2 but Paul Konchesky gives the Hammers a 3-2 lead. the Liverpool captain scored right on the full time with a brilliant goal to level the score once again & won 3-1 on penalties.

Not wishing to split hairs, but since one must include the shootout as part of the game, after the end of extra time, Liverpool were never behind throughout both penalty shootouts, leading 1-0: 2-0, 2-1 and 3-2 before the last save from Dudek meaning they won the shootout 3-2 in the Champions league final. They also led 1-0 and 2-1 before winning the shootout 3-1 in the FA cup final.... sorry but if people are daft enough to settle major finals by penalty shootouts, then that element of the match has to be included as part of the game...

I agree, the close fought suits are those that get you whilst your group is going down, yet they are additionally the main memorable win or lose. My standard sequence of all time grew to become into the 2005 ashes even regardless of the undeniable fact that we lost. i do in comparison to Australia dropping to all people of direction, yet getting overwhelmed by skill of England hurts quite badly, incredibly in cricket or rugby! 0.5 my fb friends are in England so bracing for the inevitable digs does not help the two. would desire to assert regardless of the undeniable fact that, dropping to you lot rankles, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is often taken in a reliable lively way by skill of the two sides (comparable as with my Kiwi and Safrican friends), wager there's a cultural hollow between the Anglo and non-Anglo communities the place pisstaking is wrong for malice. shame incredibly.
