The printer can be connected to two machines with a sharing device.
If it's a USB connection, you can obtain a USB sharing device. Basically, both machines plug into the usb sharing device and the printer plugs into it as well. The device manages the connections from the computers to the device so that only one computer can access it at a time.
There are also switch boxes that allow you to switch from one computer to the other.
And then you can physically connect the printer to one machine but access it from another over the network (if they are networked) and the printer is shared.

A network switch or a simple 2 way switch. Even better, buy a network ready printer...I got 4 computers in my house that all can print to it. Best Buy or Comp USA can help you.

it somewhat is obtainable to run 2 printers off one workstation on a similar time. You connect each and each to the workstation with its own USB cable and set up the utility for them. once you bypass to print, you will ought to elect which printer you like the checklist to bypass to. in any different case it somewhat is going to bypass to the "default" printer (which you would be able to set). in case you have been to attempt to run the two printer on a similar time, you should observe some alleviation in speed as your workstation could no longer be waiting to maintain up with sending suggestions to the two printers at as quickly as.
