Why do many liberals want to follow Europe's example of appeasement to radial Islam and pull out of Iraq?

I have no idea why Europe is so full of appeasers the only thing I can think of is that it is a learned behavior, and not based on common sense, after all appeasement kept them out of 2 world wars didn't it? This might also explain why liberals use them as a example common sense is not one of their strength

Because they feel that Europe is just smarter and better than the US. They actually hate our fine country even though they swear they love it. If they did follow Europe's lead and we were attacked again then they might start to understand that appeasement never works. No, they would think it was our fault for not being appeasing (is that a word) enough. Liberals just do not get it.

What good has come of being in Iraq? And what good do you hope will come? Let's not pretend that the US can "stabilize" the country with the poorly managed and understaffed troops that are there. Is it really our business to be there? It's a losing battle. And it is in fact possible, contrary to a lot of Republicans beliefs, to love your country but not support everything its government does.
