As in the Character in Torchwood/Dr Who - he is an Omni-Sexual as was stated in the first series of Dr Who with Chris Eccleston. In other words he'll sleep with anything :D!!

John Barrowman who plays Captain Jack is Gay i believe but i am not 100% on that - he was shortlisted to play Will of Will and Grace fame but was turned down for not being Gay enough!!!! :D

The character is bi-sexual and the actor is gay.

John Barrowman, the star of Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, has tied the knot in a civil partnership with his long-term partner.

Mr Barrowman, 39, and British architect Scott Gill held the ceremony at the luxury five-star St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff Bay.

Of course, but then why would it worry you. I thought we were past being shocked by such things in this country.
The shocking part is that he is from the 1940s, when such leanings were not only frowned upon the people could be sent to prison.
This makes him quite brave in my eyes.

Omni-sexual, he fancies anyone, but he did seem quite keen on the men in last nights episode.

Yep he is as bent as a nine bob note. As woolly as a sheep in shite . a turd denter a poo jabber *** bandit a back door basher a bum boy batty boy *** jockey queer gay queen kidney shifter. I think that's about all the bad words for it. He is gay and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Its about time that TV reflected a positive image for gay people. I'm not gay BTW the that's nothing to do with it

I think he's meant to be omni-sexual, meaning that he doesn't have a preference - men, women, aliens etc...
