Top 3 contenders are
1.Sanath Jayasuriya
2.Jaques Kallis
3.Shaun Pollock

For me its sanath jayasuriya.Look at his carreer record. He is the one and only ODI player to score over 10000 odi runs and to have 200+ wickets(getting closer to 300).This is enough to prove he is the best all rounder coz no one else has done that in history(note kallis and pollock havent). His fielding has been remarkable too(considering his age).He scored back to back hundreds in australia against australia in this year.He did same in england against england and in new zealand against new zealand.

In tests also he has very similar records and he has also scored a massive 340 which jaques kallis not shaun pollock has been able to do that.

Most of the people claim that its kallis who is the best all rounder for the sake of everybody is sayin. He used to be and not in the present.Same with Shaun Pollock.

What do you think?

*** on igorol man.Ur rite he is a useful bowler and not a specialized bowler.*** on he has taken wckets in many ways.(not only by makin the batsman to miss the straight ball).Havent u noticed his arm ball, slower deliveries and other variations?

Well well well my dear friend kallis WAS the best.Check out the begining of my question i have mentioned(from the current performances).
Obviously any kid will say yes its jayasuriya and not kallis from the current performances

Jayasuriya is the best player of the three, but he's not really an allrounder, just a terrific batsman who can also bowl alright. Best real allrounder in the world is Kallis, or if keepers can be counted as allrounders, Gilchrist.

Don't be silly, Jayasuriya isn't an allrounder, he's a batsman who bowls a bit. Yes he has 200+ ODI wickets but he's a subcontinental and they play about 30 ODIs a year! I'd prefer to check his Test figures, he is a useful bowler but nothing more than that. I'd bet most of those ODI wickets came from catches in the deep or slogging and missing a straight one.
Right at this moment I'd say there isn't a really good allrounder: Kallis is an average seamer, Pollock not a top 6 batsman, Flintoff can't cope with the captaincy and Bravo's gone into a nosedive. My best bet would be Sangakkara (sp?) if you allow WK/batsmen as allrounders.

Out of your 3 there, I'd have to say Kallis, but I also don't think there is an exceptional all rounder on form at the moment.

I agree with u its been Jayasuria and his stats certainly prove it. However with Jaysuria bound to retire soon Kallis is most likely to take over this honour as he is good with the ball and xtremley good with the bat

I also feel that Sanath Jayasuriya is the best all-rounder at present.

I'll go with kallis..he's good in both tests and onedayers. Exceptional with the bat and ok with the bowling too.

yep i think sanath jayasuriya too he is a great spinner (not as good as shane warne) but good and he is an opening batsmen best all rounder from the selections
