Seriously, you vote for the person, not a party. But, you gotta think to be able to do that. Read many posts here and you'll see pretty quickly that not much of that goes on. Most of what passes for thought is only deep enough to dredge up an insult for the opposite point of view.

I am going Third Party in this 2008 election...I went third party in the recent California elections because I didn't like Arnold or Angelides! I am, looking, for a third party candidate, and it's not a waste, there is really no difference between either party

Independent is a good thing. I don't like the word unknown. I need to know a candidate. Especially on the issues that are important to me.

I always vote for who I think is the best candidate even if they don't have much of a chance to win. My being unaffiliated with any party prevents me from having the party over America attitude that many do have.
