A lawyer convinced a jury that his client was able to shoot his mother-in-law after he drove several miles to her house. I don't believe this at all. OTOH, it may be possible to do something to the person next to you that would kill them without that intent. Suicide, however, would be impossible because by definition you would have to want to end your life. It's conceivable that you kill yourself by falling out a window, or down some stairs, but this wouldn't be suicide.

Interesting question, no conclusion as of yet.
The body is capable of doing many things, im not joking when i say that a woman has been documented by scientists to do things that would imply she was awake such as climbing down the stairs, going into the kitchen, and cooking food all while being 'asleep' as far as the scientific term for it stands.
Edit- A teenage girl climbed to the top of a crane in England once. Hows that for coordination?
My opinion - Perhaps, i mean, if the woman could use knives to chop and cook in her sleep, what else can she do. However, dont even try using this in court, most people who 'think' they were sleeping can be booked for being drunk instead.

Sure....just like it is to find yourself in your pajamas walking the streets when you suddenly awaken and realize what you've done. Subconsciously, I believe you could act out a thought, however exaggerated, and harm others or yourself. Sometimes we say things like, "I wished that person was dead" even tho' we really don't. I suppose it's possible to act that out in any given moment. It's like being hypnotized or in a trance.

I think sleep walking and hypnoses is nearly the same. You will not do anything in hypnoses that you wouldn't normally do in your normal awake state. For that reason I don't believe most people could do that.
