suggest any storage devices that can be connected to cell phone & computer

for comp u can use a usb drive and for the mob an mmc card. if u u want both the devices to work with the same storage then u have get a mmc card reader/writer

If its giving you some kind of an error message like that, its probably because one of the files on the device is in use on your computer. For example if your storage device has a video file on it and you have the video open while you are trying to remove the device, its not going to let you. Sometimes even if its not actually open it might still be hiding in the background, vista is like that. Use ctrl+alt+del and look for programs that might be using files on the device and end task. In all honesty though, I've used USB storage devices for at least 5 years now actively and I have never had a problem with files when I didn't safely remove. Its good computer hygiene to safely remove, but if its causing issues to yank it out and it should be fine.

Your cellphone will need some sort of port built into it. (Ex: SD Card, Mini SD) You can then get an adapter from that card to the computer, either internal or via one of your USB ports.

If your phone doesn't have any sort of external storage slot, you could possibly use a USB cable to transfer to/from the phone but it would be limited. No such device exisits to just hook a cellphone up directly to say an external firewire drive or a cd rom.

SD OR MMC card can be connected to some cell phones which support those and computer if your computer equips a card reader.
