I know some games, demo disks do an update but how do you make sure you are using the latest software.

I play PC games online and have no wish to subscribe to Live at the moment so that is not an option.

Is there a place to download the latest updates?

Thanks :-)

You can actually go to xbox.com and if you have a CD burner they will have the updates available on the website to burn to cd and then use in the 360.

i'm guessing you have the arcade version. the recent Xbox adventure desires a minimum quantity of memory that the 256 memory card doens't have. right this is an editorial from wikipedia and a link to the relaxing NXE article in my source. "mutually as previous device updates have been stored on inner memory, it is the 1st replace to require a storage device. The replace demands a minimum of 128MB unfastened area on the two a memory card or a confusing rigidity.[25] Microsoft has reported that many center or Arcade consumers won't have sufficient area on their limited memory enjoying cards for the recent replace and for that reason provided them with a unfastened 512MB memory card or a decreased 20GB confusing rigidity ($19.ninety 9) for a limited time.[26][27] This merchandising has because of the fact that ended."
