I was at work today and didnt noticed that i had a whole in my pants around the groin area, and basically my nuts were sticking out of my pants. I walked around my office and i noticed that many people were starring at me and laughing at me, especially the women. Suddenly one of the co-workers (a woman) came and gave me a dollar and said thanks for the show and everyone started laughing. I asked them what was so funny and what show? and then they said look down. and i looked and got soo embarrassed. When i fixed my pants and came back to work they all started teasing me and calling me "Big Nuts". Im a 25 yr old grown man, but i feel so embarrassed..

should i quit?

Yikes. Depends how long you've been there and how good natured the people there are, and your relationship with them. I worked in a place where the people were like family. If it happened to me, I'd sure be shocked an embarrased, but wouldn't quit. If you like the people and the job, laugh it off and make them think that you thought it was funny as hell, but also embarrasing. If they know you're also laughing at it, they won't be as likely to keep the joke going, especially if they're the kind that want to get under your skin. On the other hand, if you don't care much for the job or the people, just use it as a springboard to find a better job! Good luck!

First of all...be glad that they called you big nuts and not little nuts. Secondly, you might want to invest in some new pants, and try wearing some underwear. Maybe, after all this controversy, it would be a good time to hit up the boss for a raise. Or at least put out a tip jar labled "new wardrobe fund". It doesn't sound too bad... you have the ladies smiling, laughing, thanking you, and even paying you for your efforts. Did the woman with the $ hand it to you or stuff it down your pants??? Maybe one of those ladies who were so interested in the show you put on would like to take you home for a "private showing". Best of luck with that one!!

You can take it several ways. One being that stuff happens, and your faux pas is the stuff that legendary office stories are made of, but your coworkers should have been mature enough to tell you, when it was first noticed, instead of being too childish or too embarrassed to tell you there was a problem.

Don't quit your job, like you said, you're a grown man. You can take things as a joke, "Yeah, well, sometimes the boys just have to breathe..." and eventually, it will die down just like all office junk does or you can put a stop to it yourself by telling them that you hadn't realized what had happened, and the continued references to it is sexual harassment.

If anyone comments, keeps bringing it up and name calling, you are being sexually harassed. The unwelcome and embarrassing references to the incident is harassment, and the "Big Nuts" reference makes it sexual harassment.

On behalf of nice women, I'm sorry this has happened to you, one of them should have taken you aside and told you that you had a wardrobe problem.

No - everyone has an embarassing story. All of those people will have something that makes them blush to think about.

I have one too - my boss once took everyone out to the pub at lunch for a small drink. But everyone started buying me drinks (vodka & coke) because I was getting married the week after. I went back to work completely paraletic due to overconsumption of alcohol. But they made me sit on a chair in the middle of the office (surrounded by about 30 employees), and my boss tried to present me with a gift for my wedding.

I was sitting in the chair trying to kick him in the nuts - because I was so completely out of it. Then everyone started laughing, so I stood up and bowed in a circle. Then I spun around and said ' Stop looking at my bum you pervs!!'.......

The boss sent me home to sleep off the alcohol.

I was sooooo embarassed. But we all got over it and I just kept working even though it was a bit funny I was mortified. I still work with the same people.

Absolutely not. That is a funny story and you should tell everyone so they can have a chuckle. I was late for work one day and threw on the same pants I had on the day before. Unbeknownst to me my underwear was in the pant leg. They traveled down and fell out on the floor while I was walking. We laughed for days! Thank god no one picked them up.

Maybe the next time you show your co-workers that you have more than just big nuts. If there is all that you define you at your job, you should consider a career change instead, not just your work place. Personally, I find it flattering. Like some sort of personality building...

Well my suggestion to you would be that if you have interoffice email that is sendable to everyone simply sit down and write out a apology email for the incident, that you are very embarrassed by what happened and you are wishing to forget it. Make them the ones that feel bad for the situation. Assure them all that they all must have had once a embarassing moment and you are sure that they wouldnt want to relive that, so please have a little respect for you and understand it was purely a accident and wish to just put it behind you. If the berating continues you will have to rethink your career decision. Good Luck

I find it a little tough to believe you didn't know about your testicles hanging out of your pants. There are mistakes and then there are make believe mistakes that you tell people you knew nothing about and all know it's not true. If your testicles are numb or something and you couldn't feel the fact that they were feeling much different that the other parts of your genitals maybe, otherwise like I said, I find it a little hard to believe and I think they will also.

If it pays good no. Just do something really embarrassing to someone who works there that you don't like so it will draw attention away from yourself. But if the pay isn't good screw it.

Good luck "Big Nuts".

Oh my god! You poor thing!!!!!!!!!!!! That must have been sooooo embarrassing!

As for quitting, if you feel you can't face them again, and that they would keep embarrassing you about this incident, then yes.

If you like the job, and think that you (and they) will get over it in time, then NO!
