By the time you are about 3,000 miles up, you can pretty much see earth as a globe. Curvature (which infers round) you can see from less than two miles up over water.

The simplest thing to do is check out the shadow of the earth on the moon and bingo it's round, no travel or altitude required.

Well, Do you mean just to see the curvature of the earth?
You can do that from a mountain top on a clear day.

Now if you mean when you could see that it is a circle. Then there are too many answers, without more questions.

you only need to be standing on the ground about 5 to 10 miles from a big skyscrapper.

when you can see the top of the skyscrapper and know it isnt just floating there... you know that the Earth is circular.
