It's a discount department store. Some Wal-Marts also sell groceries. Most carry electronics, clothes, hardware, houseware, cosmetics, toys...you get the picture. It's a one stop shop. You will often find a Little Caesar (or other pizza) restaurant, a discount hair salon, a photography studio an optician or other services inside.

They also have an optical shop, a pharmacy, a photo processing shop, a portrait studio and an arcade. Some have McDonald's, pizza, or some other type of restaurant in them. You can buy tires for your car. In the spring and summer, they have a nursery. They sell sporting goods and you can get your hunting and fishing licenses there. Some Wal-Marts are open 24 hours.
