Drink some hot milk . It has L-Tryptophan in it which will help you sleep. You can even add some coco powder if you don't like straight milk and make it a hot chocolate . Good night.
By the way, why do you think babies go to sleep after they drink a nice warm bottle of milk? It's a tried and true cure.

First your a teenager, studies have shown that your cirerilian clock, which it what your body uses to regulate itself, is off kilter. That's why teenagers can sleep all day, and have difficulty getting up in the mornings. Some researchers say that we should change school hours to later in the morning, so that kids can learn better.
You can try a couple of things without taking pills:
1. You can try some warm milk, milk contains tryptophan with can make you sleepy.
2. Stop reading in bed or doing anything in bed that is not sleep related. NO TV
3. If you lay down for over 20 minutes and still can't get to sleep get up and do something quiet in the other room like reading or listening to relaxing music until you feel tired.
4. Make sure that the room isn't to light or to cold, or to hot. If noise is an issue maybe find some white noise, like a fan to cover it up. (My son and I both sleep with a fan. Actually when I'm having trouble sleeping I just concentrate on the fans noise, and I usually drift off.
5. Try to mediate. There are several good books on how to mediate, one is Meditation Made Easy by Lorin Roche. Try your library.
6. Maybe discuss the option of taking an amino acid called Gaba with your parents and/or doctor. Amino acids are in the proteins that you eat and are produced in your body. The particular amino acid makes you relax and with helps ease you into sleep. This has been the most effective product I've used, and it is realitively safe. The only uncomfortable side effect I've noticed, is that for about 2 minutes it makes you feel flush. This a common side-effect, it kind of reminds me of euphoria. Please make sure you take to your parents before you take this.
One other thing. You are a teenager and you are under a lot of stress from school, friends, even home. Because you are stressed you might not be sleeping. Try to remember that we all grow up and things should get better. Talk to you parents or someone you can trust about things that bother you don't hold it inside.
Hope this helps you.

Do you nap during the day? That could be the problem.
I am over forty and I can't sleep at night either. I tend to want to sleep from 6:00 a.m. till after noon, then stay up all night. Too bad there isn't a true night school for kids.

have a talk with yr parents, see a doctor. But dun rely on medication too much. simply b'cos our body can get immune to it. try to do something relaxing b4 sleep, such as reading a comic book, watch a movie. Avoid pc and hand held games or x-box or nintendo, those games will keeps u going on. burn some essential oil with a burner, choose lavender or.. can't remember the name thou, anyway, ask the sales person, they can suggest some other ess. oil to you. have camomile tea, real camomile flower, not those tea bags like lipton. real camomile flowers dun have the caffine content like those tea bags. (btw not asking u to pluck the flowers as well). Go to supermart and purchase for it.

Are you sleeping in real late? If that's the case make sure you wake up early one morning and go to bed earlier.
You should probably go see a doctor if you have insomnia.
Are you depressed? under a lot of stress? These are some questions you could be asking yourself.
look at some of these sites and look up insomnia online

It is early AM for us too. Go and bring out your book and study. That will make you go to sleep. I am reading a textbook and calculating problems and answering Yahoo so - you can do the same.

Get into a routine and get rid of electronic stuff 2 hours before you go bed. Read if you must but get into a schedule to allow you to sleep soundly.

it sounds like you may have insomnia. Go to the doctor as soon as you can, he/she may be able to prescribe something to help you get enough sleep, and good sleep too. Good luck! I hate when that happens T_T
